This year’s highlight was the month-long July visit of our three “stars,” Maja 1, Lukas 3, and Janey 5. Of course, Kajsa & Rich were here too. There were lots of home-grilled hamburgers for all the cousins and friends with their children who visited Wattsbo!

Janey told her kindergarten school friends back home in Wilmington DE that she most remembered picking raspberries with Mormor, catching her first fish, and playing on Morfar’s wood pile. Little Maja’s eyes just tell the whole story when we were all roasting marshmallows. Lukas’ chasing his kite, learning to play football (soccer style), digging for fresh potatoes, and helping Morfar stack wood brought his smiles.

Indeed, the simple things in life are the most important.
